Coconut milk powder - organic
Our organic coconut milk is a very versatile product, with multiple culinary uses both at home and in commercial production. Coconut milk powder can be used in all savory recipes such as curries, coconut milk soup and "fauxmage", or for drinks such as golden milk, hot chocolate, smoothies and tired!
Use and properties
In the packaging, the powder may be clumped, but the pieces are easily reduced to powder. The powder dilutes very well in cold or hot water, with a whisk or simply by stirring the mixture of powder and water in a closed glass jar.
To reconstitute the equivalent of a can of coconut milk, we recommend using 90 to 100 g of powder for 300 ml of water. With this proportion, we achieve the same fat level as in premium canned milk.
If we compare powdered coconut milk and canned coconut milk, for the same volume of product once the water has been added to the powdered milk, the latter presents significant packaging savings. It is therefore a reduction at the source of materials and resources.
Additionally, it is rare to use an entire can of coconut milk for a recipe, and once opened, the milk will only keep for 2 or 3 days. With milk powder, it is possible to use only the quantity needed and avoid waste.
Finally, a product without water and with little packaging also means much less energy spent on transport, with reduced volume and weight.
